QUICK ANSWER

What should a brand look for in a pajama manufacturer?

Choose a manufacturer that can explain its relevant sleepwear capability, define MOQ by style and colour, turn your design and size chart into an approved sample, document fabrics and trims, and show how that specification controls bulk production. Compare revision terms, quality checks, private-label scope, payment milestones and destination-market responsibilities before ordering.

Pajama sourcing is easier when every supplier answers the same questions. This checklist is for brands comparing OEM, ODM and private-label partners. It also states confirmed NAIDI PAJAMAS terms so buyers can decide whether our factory fits their project.

THE SHORTLIST

12 questions to ask every pajama manufacturer

QuestionEvidence to request
1. Do you make this sleepwear category?Relevant work with woven sets, knit loungewear, satin styles, robes or nightdresses.
2. Is the project OEM or ODM?A clear division of responsibility for design, patterns, materials, measurements and approvals.
3. What starts development?Tech pack or references, measurement chart, fabric direction, quantities, target market, branding and packaging.
4. What is the MOQ?The minimum per style and colour. NAIDI PAJAMAS starts at 100 pieces per style per colour.
5. What does the sample fee cover?A written scope. Our sample fee is quoted by style and process and paid in full; a revised sample is 70% of the original fee.
6. How long does sampling take? Our confirmed range is 7-12 calendar days for simple styles and 15-20 for complex styles, after full sample payment.
7. How are materials approved?Composition, weight, colour, finish and trim references tied to the order, not a website photo.
8. Who supplies the size chart? The brand supplies target measurements. Generic regional charts are planning references, not a production specification.
9. How is the sample reviewed?Measurement points, tolerances, fit comments, construction details and controlled revisions.
10. What private-label work is included?Artwork, dimensions and placement for main, size and care labels, hangtags and packaging.
11. How does QC follow the sample?Checks for measurements, workmanship, trims, appearance, labels and packaging against the approved specification.
12. What starts bulk production?Approved specification, confirmed materials and payment. Simple styles take 15-25 days and complex styles 20-35 after the 70% deposit; 30% is paid before shipment after production photos and videos.

CAPABILITY FIT

Start with the garment, not the longest capability list

A woven cotton set and a stretch-knit lounge set create different pattern, seam, shrinkage and fit questions. Ask for evidence that matches your category. Name the fabric, silhouette, construction and intended customer instead of stopping at “we make pajamas”.

Review our sleepwear categories, fabric and trim process and six manufacturing stages.

MOQ & QUOTATION

Compare the same specification

MOQ and price become comparable only when factories quote the same style, material, colour count, size breakdown, labels, packaging and delivery basis. Ask what is included and which details remain open.

SAMPLE REVIEW

Treat the sample as a controlled specification

Record comments against a measurement point or construction detail. Check fabric, seams, piping, buttons, elastic, labels and packaging. Define required tests and responsibilities before bulk approval.

  1. Measure: compare the garment with the supplied chart and tolerances.
  2. Wear and handle: review fit, movement, opacity, hand feel and trim comfort.
  3. Confirm construction: inspect seams, stress points, piping, buttons and elastic.
  4. Record approval: keep one version of comments, specification and approved sample reference.

US / UK / EU BUYERS

Confirm destination-market requirements before labels are produced

The brand or importer should identify the rules and tests for its product, age group and destination. The US FTC explains fibre, origin, business identity and care labelling; the CPSC publishes separate children's sleepwear requirements. UK guidance requires fibre-content labelling. EU Regulation 1007/2011 covers textile fibre names and composition labelling.

These official sources are starting points, not legal advice. Confirm current requirements for your exact product and market.
